Please read the information below which gives details of our Pupil Premium Grant and how we allocate the funding.

Our Pupil Premium Allocation

 

Pupil Premium Report 2015/16

The Government introduced funding arrangements for schools in 2011. A key change was the introduction of a grant called the Pupil Premium, which linked to a number of children eligible to receive free school meals, children whose parents belong to the Armed Forces and those children who are Looked After. This information provides an indicator of the levels of need within the school. Schools are required to publish information regarding how they choose to spend this allocation and how they expect it to benefit all children in the classes.

 

In 2014/15 the pupil premium allocation was £72,700

Items funded included:

·      Place to be- In school counselling provision for children and parents

·      Teaching assistant hours

·      1:1 tuition

·      IT

·      Learning resources for Maths and Literacy, in particular.

 

In 2015/16 the pupil premium allocation is:

 £ 74, 200

It will be used to fund:

·      Place to be- In school counselling provision for children and parents

·      Teaching assistant hours

·      1:1 tuition

·      Learning resources and training for core subjects, IT and Speech and Language provision.

 

Impact

In 2014/15 behaviour and emotional well-being was judged to have been enhanced by these measures and standards at Key Stage 2 have improved.
At the end of the funding period the children eligible for Pupil Premium during 2014/15 who were on track ,in line with their peers, had improved compared to figures for 2013/14- in reading by 21%, in Writing by 13% and in Mathematics by 1%.
Our focus will continue with raising standards, especially in Maths and continue the upward trend at Key Stage 2.
