Victory is a cooking apple with a snow white flesh encased in a mottled red skin. The Victory apple is harvested in September. It is large and has a sharp taste. It originated in Surrey, Great Britain, in 1923. It is self-sterile and requires a pollinator to produce its annual crop.
This term in English, children will be reading the lovely story 'Charlotte's Web'. Children will be given their own copies of the story to look after in school, and will be given opportunities to read out loud to their peers. They will be using the text to help them to do some superb narrative writing. Later on in the term, we will be going on to do information writing. In Maths, we will be focusing on fractions and decimals. Our topic for Science this term is Living things and their habitats and for Geography we will be looking at the UK.
Please continue to read with your child as often as possible and please ensure that a comment is written down in their reading records, as these are regularly checked.
Please continue helping your child to practise their times tables.
