Why not try the daily English activities linked below:
Monday - Role Model
A role model is any person you want to be like because of the things they do.
Some examples of good role models:
You might think your parents/carers are really good role models because they work really hard to look after you and make sure you have everything you need.
You might think firefighters are really good role models because they risk their lives to save people.
You might think that Marcus Rashford is a good role model because he used that he is famous to get the government to make sure that children who struggle to pay for food are still getting fed free lunchtime meals in the summer holidays.
You might think Captain Tom Moore is a good role model because although he is very old, he managed to walk over 100 laps of his garden and in doing so he raised millions of pounds to help the NHS.
As you can see there are lots of different types of good role models.
Your task today is to think of someone who you think is a good role model to you. They can be someone who you know or even someone who is famous. Draw them and write a few sentences underneath about who they are, what they do and why they are a good role model. If you would like, you can do two role models.
Tuesday - Fact File
We are going to start looking at significant (important) individuals within living memory, this term. These are people who have done important things, which may have impacted the world in some way. Your significant individual this week is Michelle Obama. Find out why she could be considered a good role model and is a significant individual. You need to include: When and where she was born. Did she marry and have kids – Who are they? Jobs she had. Good things she did. What she is most famous for. Any extra information you would like to include. Make sure you write in full sentences, underline your subheadings and use neat cursive handwriting. Use the fact file template to help you organise your research.
