Wednesday - Survival Guide to Year 2

We are coming to the end of Year 2, you have all spent the year learning new things about yourself, friends and the world. You have learnt new skills, hobbies, likes and dislikes. You have all grown up in different ways and as we come to the end of Year 2, this is your opportunity to share some of that knowledge with the Year 1's who will be coming in to Year 2, next year. Today you are going to create a survival guide for the Year 1's. A poster about all the ways the Year 1's can have the best experience in Year 2; learning and having fun. You can create this poster on paper or using a word/powerpoint document. I have provided an example below. Remember to make it eye catching, include pictures and make sure it is neat.

Friday - Memories

What an usual year it has been, definitely one that will go down in history. With that being said, we have had some pretty amazing times this year, some of you achieved a handwriting pen (the first ever in Year 2), others learnt amazing facts about the Amazon rainforest, we even got to pretend we were on the Titanic and so many other memories were made. Your task for today is to get these memories down. Reflect on the year you have had, from your time at school to your time at home. What did you learn about yourself? What have you enjoyed? What new skills did you learn? I have provided an end of year activity sheet for you to fill out. You may want to draw some lines in the boxes, to help keep your writing straight, or you might just want to use the headings and make your own memory sheet, both are fine.

Tuesday - Self Portrait

Today you are going to be artists! As we learnt last week, a portrait is a picture of a person or a group of people, so a self portrait is a picture of yourself. However, this week you are going to draw and colour/paint your self portrait. See the pdf below to help get you started. You may want to use the portrait frames provided or do it on plain paper, that is up to you.

You are going to need: Plain paper Mirror Pencil Colouring Pencils or Paints Rubber
